Why do you need aftermarket? I just bought 3 new ones from GM.

I re-used my stock bolts... make sure you clean them and use new blue lock-tite on them though.
The factory ones are the only ones you want to use because of the flat head design, so it doesn't interfer with the clutch when it engages, and also, it has the precise depth. They are also already grade like 12.9 from the dealer. and no, no aftermarket solution, also, none needed.
No need for aftermarket.....I ordered new ones from my local GM dealer.
2010 Subaru Impreza WRX Limited
1999 Cavalier Z24 Supercharged
1999 Grand AM SE (Beater Car)
1997 GMC Sierra
2007 Honda CBR 600RR
2005 Honda TRX450R
back from the dead... Can I reuse the stock ones?
This is for an ecotec...(getrag)

Yes reuse the stock ones..Just make sure to LOCKTIGHT them...And Torque them properly..
oh crap i didn't locktite mine. i hope they dont come lose!!! any 1's every came loose?? hopefully not many
Yeah locktite is a must, they come from the parts dept with locktite on them.. I just reinstalled my stock ones with locktite, didnt torque but tightened them as much as I could with the socket and breaker bar lol

I used new ones from ARP.......I'd trust them more than stock but I've never heard of stockers being a problem even with some good power.
yes, the bolts can most certainly fail....
the haynes manual calls for i believe 75 (it might be 45, i cant remember for sure) ft lbs torqued AND a 45 degree pull on the torque wrench.. if i remember correctly...
also, like the others have said, its a MUST to put lock tite on them if re-using the stockers, and also like david said-the new stockers come with the lock tite already on them and are pretty damn cheap. these are definitely items you dont want to cheap out on.
Wanting a nice set of black 17's with mint tires? Pm me.
so i figured id bump this back up again. im looking to get new flywheel bolts but scotts dealership says that theyre discontinued. i would use stockers but i dont have any. the guy who sold me the damn engine left misc stuff out. any ideas where to get some online? aftermarket or stock? or if anybody knows the size? i tried autozone but a bunch of diff sizes come up and none are vehicle specific. any help is appreciated!
I NEED a 97-99 LD9 engine harness for an auto.PM if u hav info.!!
GM says you're supposed to use new bolts...
14.330 @ 96.37mph
yea I know that. reason I asked is because the dealership is sayin they're discontinued.
now does anybody know any other place online that would sell them?

Yeah that was my method. Put everything my arms could muster into it, plus the locktite. Same goes for pressure plate bolts.
I used ARP's for a 4.6/4.8L mustang engine IIRC. The part number is floating around on here somewhere.
