If your indicator says "P,R,N,D,2,1", it's the 3T40/Th125C, three speed automatic. There are three different kits available for it, Superior Shift Improver Kit, TransGo Shift Kit and the J-Body Performance. The Superior kit is a mild kit, but is an improvement over stock. The TransGo and JBP kit have three levels, but the TransGo kit is about1/3 to 1/4 the price. See you locally owned trans shop for the Superior and TransGo kits.

If you indicator says "P,R,N,D,3,2,1", then you have the 4T40E, four speed automatic. There are no "shift kits", because they are electronically controled. B&M makes the ShiftPlus to control the transmission, which can (and should) be turned off when not needed.
