Cutting Shifter

Ive got a friend who wants to cut his shifter. he wants to know if this will do anything bad to his car, i say no...what do you all say???

If you cut the shifter handle obviously you will have to re-thread the end of it. This can be done but some shifter handles are rather large and might require a die most people don't have on hand. This mod will not to anything harmful. HOWVER, a shorter throw comes from the handle and actual shifter base combined. It will still look cooler.

I cut mine a while ago, it was ok. But then i picked up a B&M so much better. you can get one for about 130-150 and its so very worth it. less work better results

i cut mine and its great i didnt thread mine just put a knob on it

yea my friend cut his too, i had the die set to tap & die it, and it works great, sure its not exactly smoth shifting, but right now, being broke, it works great~!
