high performance 4t60e internals?
Sunday, May 07, 2006 7:25 PM
I plan on getting a High Performance torque converter for my trans, but is there anything that I should replace inside the transmission? I dont know anything about transmissions really, but I was hoping you guys could point me in the direction of some parts, and I will pay a professional to do the work.

What do you recommend that I get/do?

if its a cavalier it'll be a 4t40e for starters, as far as i know the only high stall converter for the 4t40e is a Yank 3000rpm unit, and to my knowedge there is nothing crazy for internals availible, although that doesnt mean nothing can be done

Some people have told me that the diff from a 4T60E is stronger and will fit into the 4T40E. Haven't tried it but I do have both trans. If I get bored I will let you know.
