How to replace the shift linkage
Wednesday, May 10, 2006 2:09 PM
Well as far as I can tell it is the linkage that is bad. I can put it into all of the gears on the one cable (1,3,5,R) but can not put it into 2,4 which I do believe is the other cable. Has anyone replaced the linkage, if so how do I go about doing it, and a rough estament on time it took to do.

Thanks any info is appriciated

do you have the new shifter cables already. if you dont.. try to hit up every parts yard in your area looking for them. i looked through every yard in flint and couldn't find a set that wasn't cut. if you have to go to the dealer there going to rape you, its like $150 for a set. other than that its easy to just unhook/remove the old ones and replace them . it took me and a few buddies maby an hour at max. most of the trouble is snaking the cabels through the console/firewall/engine bay.

Guess how much we owe New Orleans..........nothing
