Well I have been looking into getting a new clutch for awhile (my stocker slips alittle) So ive think i will buy a spec clutch, but i dont know which level. I only have a catback and bolt ons. I was thinking of going with the stage 2 version. Also if it makes any difference i have a 97 Grand AM with the 2.4L and 5speed (obviously). I have heard some things about spec lately that i dont like and makes me worried to buy one.

I run a SPEC stage II for the 2.2. It's being ripped on by a 3400 V6. Works fine for me.
I got a stage 3 with stock flywheel... Been using it since 2 days after i installed my S/C (slave cyl. died) I love my Spec clutch, 30,000 miles on it with the s/c and it still grabs like new.... It is picky though, one minute it will engage really easy, and then 5 minutes later it will pop on you. You just have to get used to it, and be ready to buck some when the clutch wants to put itself into racing mode lol. Which is all it wants to do, launch hard and shift hard. I love it!

your useing your stock flywheel with no problem.good because i was just going to ask if i can use a stage 3 with my stock flywheel on my 04 cavalier

www.ultrarev.com is where i got mine, and i recieved it in 3 days... Awesome service.
$385 For the stage 3 and you get a slave cylinder no matter which stage you use.
When you put in your model info though you have to put it in as a 2003 Cavalier if you want Ecotec clutches, they dont list if for the sunfires or a 04 Cavy.
BTW... Somepeople dont like Spec clutches, but i personally have put 30,000 miles on mine under boost and havnt had one complaint... I love it and will buy anotherone when this one wears out. I didnt even expect for it to last as long as it has.

Just take the flywheel and have it turned before installing the clutch, and you'll be golden.
