does anyone know how hard it would be to convert a 99 sunfire three speed into a manual. i was thinking of getting a wrecked manual identical car and taking the parts from there like clutch assembly, ecu, tranny, and cables and swappin it. anyone tried it? or can it even be done?
you need the driverside and passenger side axles i kno other than that im not sure
Don't need the ECU.
You will need:
Clutch/brake pedals
Clutch fluid reservoir
Tranny
Axles
Shifter & boot
Shift cables
Maybe the tranny mounts
2 quarts of GM synchromesh
Possibly a new clutch & slave cylinder
It is doable.
