5 Speed 2004 eco problem
Thursday, September 14, 2006 6:23 PM
Coming home my clutch pedel got very soft on me, Then stoped comming back up at all. I really had to force it in to gear from a stop, but if Im moving it goes int gear much easier. Is this my clutch or something else. I've had 2 other clutch problems on diffrent cars and neither of them did anything like this.

Hey my is andre from MD I'm a mechanic i do believe your clutch is toasted, cuz my old z24 had the same problem and the presure plate tooth broke and the and the other piece got stock.

Sounds like the slave cylinder is toast actually. That's the main thing that makes the pedal come back up. If it was just the clutch the pedal would probably act normal but the gears wouldn't disengage or it would slip BADLY.

I used to race cars, now I race myself.

Low fluid level or air in the hydraulics can also cause a spongy or low pedal effort condition. Have you checked your master cylinder reservoir level?

I have a puddle out side now under the front. I think its a hydralic problem. I just havent had a lot of time to look at it.

Sounds like the Throw out bearing/slave cyl is shot. There is a bleeder valve, but if you have a puddle it will not help.
