What all needs adapted? do I just run a new hose to the master cylinder? can I still use my 2.4 clutch/flywheel with an external slave?
whoa whoa whoa! you got the ext. slave? what year tranny did you pick up? you might have screwed yourself...does it have 2 tranny mounts on it or 1 ?
2....but so does my cav tranny...its a 92 trans
2 is good...just rare to find the right tranny with an EXTERNAL slave....ok so heres what you need
all you need the clutch LINE that came with the older getrags..look at the slave..it should take a small "nipple" style instead of the "quick disconnect" that the internal slave takes...all you need to do is find one of those lines...but good luck cus everywhere i check tell me that they CUT the line when they take the trannys out ..the bastards...but if you cant find one let me know i think i have my old one still in good condition
oh sorry i forgot...look CLOSELY at your slave...see if it has a bleeder screw..if not( and some didnt) there is a special technique to bleeding it once its hooked up so just let me know
awesome thanks for the help man
My brother's old GTZ had the same trans (91/92), Chris now has it...... He picked up a new master cylinder and hose for his from a local parts store......
You *MIGHT* be able to convert your external slave to internal slave....... IDK for sure though (I know Rodney Dickman makes a Internal to External conversion for it)
