Hi everyone...

along with my automatic cavalier, my real baby is a 2002 grand am with the eco and a 5 speed... my problem is that 3 rd gear is hard to hit if your really getting into it, and reving hard... under normal load, it shifts fine, but at higher rpm you gotta slam it in....

now, a few weeks ago I missed the shift and had the clutch out without the gear fully engaged, it ground like a bastard.... and today I noticed this "hard to hit 3rd" problem.... I dont drive hard very often, is this something that going to really mess up the tranny, or is it just the process of a tranny wearing on these things??

it has also been suggested that the clutch may be at fault

any ideas??
