Umm I just did mine in the spring time.. I have the Hayden cooler from ebay..

They come with directions, they give you two ways of hooking up your cooler.. I chose the way that made me cut both of my stock tranny lines and attach ruber hoses. Its real simple from the directions they give.. I wish I could give ya more info, but it was a lil while ago that I installed mine.

Whatever you do, don't use the plastic sandwich ties that come with most tranny coolers. If you snake the tie through the radiator and condenser, over time they loosen up or break causing the cooler to move around and the tight ones to saw through the rad and condenser like a hacksaw. I went through this after spending $300 on a giant four core for my Suburban only to replace the radiator a year later after a botched installation of the cooler. After that I fabbed a bracket to hold the cooler in front of the radiator without the zip ties.

Be sure to use the aftermarket cooler after the factory cooler in the radiator.

On the trans, the top one is out and the lower one is return.
