I have a possible lead on TEN (10) NEW replacement 5-speed Getrag 282, 1994 model (aka the NVGT-550) with the internal hydraulic slave cylinder. Is anyone interested in this and what would you be willing to pay for one. The GM part number 22591277, dealer list is $3082.94, wholesale is $2810.00. GM shows only 5 left in their system.
I found these ten at a transmission shop close to me. I am sure I can get these units for under $1000.00 ea. Maybe even alot less. But I need to know if I can sell them. They will retrofit any Quad 4/Twin Cam engine if the '94-style hydraulic slave system is used. They carry ID code "4DFF". They are brand-spankin' new, never installed in a car, never had fluid in them. With good used units selling for 350-500 and rebuilt units selling for 750-900, how's a brand new unit for the same price sound?
Give me some feedback and maybe you can grab one with me. I need to know how much you would be willing to pay for one. Only repsond with an offer if you are SERIOUS and would buy one if I get these 10. I don;t have to buy all 10, but the price per unit will be alot less if I do."

That is good to know. I don't think I can sell enough parts to take advantage of this deal though

I got one. its an 88, according to the shift linkage, it looks like it would be out of a fiero. not sure though. Well i got a 89 hm282 in my car now, this friend who owns a trans shop came by and i got to talkin to him about the awsome rattle these have. hes like if im not mistaking I bought like 10 of those back in 88 or 89 bran new. he told me to swing by and check it out......... sure enough. Hes like take it! do me a favor and take it. lol its been sitting thier since 88 or 89 he says, would NOT take no for answer, im like dam, that means a lot dude.ya know?. i almost couldnt take it. lol buuuuut, thier are wierd things about it, That is a whole other story. Anyway i desided to use the diferential. I opend up the case and its got assembly lube everywhere. I took the whole thing apart at work, the 1-2 sychro sleeve and synchro hub are messed up. Thier is this wierd thing for third and forth(i'll right another thread about all that, hopefully some one can come up with an explanation for it). but, all the gears are bran new, none have any where paterns. here are some pics.
