First off I have a 97 sunfire gt with a 5 speed. What kind of tranny is this? Also what years did it come in? I found a clutch for a 2000 getrag but dont know if it will fit. Anyways the tranny has been leaking fluid for some time now and it is getting real hard to shift. My question is will atf fluid work in this tranny., or do I have to buy the gm stuff. Next how hard is it to replace the clutch in this car. On a scale from 1 to 10 and is there a write up on the forum.

You have an Isuzu, the getrag clutch will not fit or work. Yes, atf works. Don't believe there is a write up, go to the store and buy a Chiltons manual, it runs through the procedure in there, judge for yourself. What might be easy to me or somebody else, might end up being a nightmare for you.

I dont know if it was the atf fluid or what but now I have no 2nd gear. I shift into it and it grind and pops out. What should I do?
