I have a 2000 cavalier z24 auto trans, and i just installed the B&M shift plus on it.
Ive read on here that its normal for the Traction Control light to come on in settings 1 or 2, but mine is on all the time. Is this normal?
it comes on for any setting you have it on. unless its off when you start the car. or you may have a traction control problem in the car.
I have it on my 98 cav Z and never have had such a problem,could be something about the newer cars IDK

Ya its been on since i installed the shiftplus, no matter what setting.. even when its off.
Would there be a code i could check? can it cause any harm?
I can tell the shiftplus is working.. it definatly makes a difference in settings 1 and 2.
Well i was just driving around on setting 1, and the light turned off! and didnt come back on.. so i dunno what to say.. Anyone think theres anything wrong?
Did you use the cheap connector that came with the kit? If so, solder the wire or get better connectors.

ya i did.. i thought they would be good, they are from 3M.. dont they make good connectors?
So it was a loose connection then?
It does look like it. Many people had problem with the connector they have in the kit. I, myself, had problem with them so I just solder the wires. 100% better job and you can forget about it. it works 100% of the time.

alli did was cut,splice,and elect. tape it's ghetto but no prob's as of yet
