On my way home from work today I had the window down and I noticed a squeaking noise coming from the drivers side front tire so I pulled over a started trouble shooting, looked around the front and I could smell clutch burning. Great just put $1400 into the motor and now the transmissions going. Anyways got home took the tire off, found out 3 lug nuts where loose, might have something to do with the squeak. I could still smell the clutch so I checked the reservoir. This is what I found

Um, any ideas, suggestions, please help. Everytime I fix something, something else seems to go wrong.

thats bad, change it out for fresh stuff. and check teh stuff that in the transmission its self while your at it thats more likely what your smelling

Okay black clutch fluid, your point?

Clutchs use the same fluid brakes.

If you let it go long enough without changing it, it turns black, see it all the time.

Bleed the clutch, a few times till the fluid is new and clear.

yeah, nothing to crazy.. the black is from the seals in the hydraulic system deteriorating. flush the fluid. if there are chunks of black in the fluid i would be a little more concerned.

Ok cool, ya I called a transmission shop in town to see if I could get it flushed. They said its a risky move cause if they loose the pedal I need a new master cylinder. And what probably happened is the line was disturbed and build up was send through the line (like Liquidplamsa said). I found out the smell was a seized drivers side caliper. It was weird three things went wrong simultaneously. The squeak was loose wheel nuts, the smell was my breaks, and the black fluid was because my dad was friggin with my clutch reservoir. This series of events made me believe something catastrophic had happened.

ok how do I bleed the clutch & brakes to for that matter?
