Saturn transmission in a cavalier

i have a 97 2.2 ohv cavalier with the 3 sp. auto. i have found a 95 saturn parts car. i'm not sure wat style saturn this is but i will update whenever i find out. i know with the cobalts there is a similarity with the ion's. so my question is will the saturn manual transmission, and axels and the other stuff that is needed work in my cavalier. thank you in advance for the help.

the new ion and the cobalt share the lsj motor. meaning same trans. back in 95 saturn was still on the 1.9 dual cam and im pretty sure the trans won't line up.

It wont fit at all, it is a 4 speed similar in design to a manual transmission. Due to the simplicity and design of these transmissions they are very reliable and strong. The performance button to change the shift characteristics (rpm/harshness)is nice as well. It is really a shame that it would not bolt up to our cars.

no saturn trans will fit

not even a eco trans from a current saturn will fit a cav , only the 4t40/45's are similar enough they might interchange

but even that leaves your 95 2.2 outta luck
