are the interanl components to a 91 cav 2.2 the same as the internals to a mid 90's 2.2 stick shift?
Mid '90s as in '94 or mid '90s as in '95+?

i can get a 1991 cav but the tranny is shot, i have a 96 sunfire with internals from a 2.2, i believe 1997, i was gonna see if i could put the internals from it into the tranny in the 91 2.2
I'm straining my memory bank, since I never worked with 2.2Ls that often, but if they're both Isuzu transmissions, I would say yes, as the Isuzu transmission didn't change models.

i was hopin u would say they might, considering its was still the Isuzu MFD-5M that was in the older ones as well as these ones.
im gonnabe goin to look at the car prolly this friday
The main shafts use different style bearings....... and there are some other differences..... I forget what all changed, but I remember compairing a 95 Isuzu to a 90 (?) Isuzu...... Some parts are swap-able though.
