For starters I have a 01 Z with a SPEC stage 2 and light weight flywheel. Been in about a year with 10k miles or less.
Over the past few days the engagement point of the clutch as gotten higher and higher. It started after a night at the drags. I ran 8-10 runs, over about 3 hours, and it started feeling a little soft and catching really high. Right before its all the way out. So I stopped and 30 min later drove the car home. This has happened before and usually after the car cooled down the clutch worked normal again. But this time it hasn't gone back to its normal engagement point, which was always pretty high. Just for reference I run mid to low 16's with 2.4 and 2.3 60 foots, so not real harsh on it.
Most of what I have found people is recommend bleeding the clutch as a first step, but I haven't read a post sugesting this with a late catching clutch, just early or irregular engagement. Is there some way to adjust the clutch to change where it catches? I don't think I killed the clutch b/c I didn't smell it, and when it grabs it still grabs hard. I am also no where near the TQ limit of the clutch so even if I was abusing it a little, I would hope it can take it. Also, a few months ago I had the whole trany replaced, new one has less miles then the car, and the shop said the clutch looked good.
Anyone have any advice or place for me to look for answers?

I just installed a spec 3+ clutch and spec aluminum flywheel. The clutch grabs about 1" to1-1/2" away from the end of the pedal stroke. Was this how yours was initially?
Yes its always grabbed fairly far out, but not this far.
No one has any advice? I have been reading about it being easy to put the clutch on backwards. Could this be a symptom of that? I have obviously learned the new clutch feel, i just want to know if this could in some way be hurting my transmission. I just had it replaced a few months ago, so I really don't want to go through that again.

My Spec stage 2 with Fidanza flywheel grabs right at the tops of the pedal. Since day one. I love it that.
