on a radiator.......the line that is at the top pass. side with a small nipple and a return hose to the reservoir. how crucial is this hose? would it hurt if i plugged it......or removed it?
Are you talking about the line for the a/c system?

no...it runs off the top pass side of the radiator, directly to the coolant reservoir.
ill try and get a picture
Isnt that the overflow line?..To my best knowlege thats the line that the extra coolant goes over to the overflow tank with...so if that is the case you cannot block it off..
Are you still trying to hook up the tranny cooler or is this a separate issue?

Not a good idea to block that. Could end up with a blown radiator tank.
this is a seperate issue. tranny cooler is hooked up. but that nipple was broken on the radiator. anyone know how much overflow moves thru that hose?
its not so much volume but if you have afull rad and it builds pressure which it does your looking at alot of pressure in that rad and something will blow...its there for a reason..no as for amount im not sure the exact amount but its prolly close to a liter..
great....so im gonna need another radiator
this is why i hate buying products to be shipped to me
if you had a radiator cap like the old ones youd be fine cause then the pressure couldnt build above 16 PSI thenit would spray out the cap but our caps are on the resevoir so like said sadly you do need the overflow setup
i hear ya it sucks
The one, the only, ME.
JB WELD!
Glue it on
I fixed a large coolant leak with jb weld on a dirty engine. It held for years.
Seriously it could work....
Or you could get one of those threaded hose barb fittings and tap the hole in the radiator, thread the fitting in with JB weld to make sure its sealed good
get the insurance..and get a new one..
