went to track last night w/ 00 z24 gm s/c and my clutch was slipping so bad the best time i ran all night was a 10.4 in the 1/8th. My top speed was 81 mph though. I have NO money for a new getrag clutch so... I have a sitting 96 z24 with an isuzu in it and an ACT clutch in it. So i need some advice on what to use.... ill need isuzu tranny,flywheel,pressure plate and clutch, isuzu shifting cables and thats all that i can think of...please give some input and DONT flame me from switching back to the mk7 cuz the isuzu can handle 300+ hp which is a mark that i'll never exceed....

i would ust drive it around for a mont until you get the 200 $ for a new stock clutch

I have a stock clutch for sale. Still chirped third gear when I took it out. It has 40k on it.

Yeah, don't downgrade trannies. It's a ton of work to switch between the 2, and doing it as a downgrade make no sense.
As stated above, wait till you've got money for a clutch, or scrounge up an old "new Getrag" clutch somewhere.
ok quick question.... i bought this car for 1200 bux cuz it had a bottom end knock. So i put a used engine in it for 700 bux AND i replaced the tranny clutch disk. I got it back together and took it out for a spin and the clutch feels like it went out (couldnt get it in gear). The clutch pedal is so soft, It has hardly any pressure to it at all. So i finally got it in 3rd and limped it back to my dads garage and the clutch reservoir was bone dry. I filled it back up, checked for leaks but couldnt find any. so 2 weeks later it still hadnt leaked any out. so i was talking to some1 and he said that when i did the engine swap i should have bled the clutch out to get the air out of it. So 2day me and my dad are going to bleed the clutch to see if that will stiffen it some. If that doesnt help than WHININ Z i WANT the clutch you have... Me and you can work out some kind of price just pm me. But 82 mph as a trap speed (i thought) was pretty impressive but a 10.4 in the 1/8 is absolutely goddamn terrible... I ran a 9.7 with a 96 z24 s/c with NO REFLASH!

Z24 have run 12's with there stock clutch, and i was doing 8.9-8.7 in the 1/8 cutting 2.0 60' all day for 3 seasons. my stock clutch lasted 120K.
anyway, i have a spec S2, it dives good, and grips good, but i WILL NEVER GET A SPEC AGAIN.
Nothing but LUK, LUK gold for me from here on out. worked on my TSI, and my GTZ. and there the parent company for the OE GM clutches.
