Is there a how to or anything about removing, installing a clutch. I have a 04 cav, and am getting ready to do a centerforce dual friction, and have little knowledge of clutch flywheel etc.

getting the trans off is a PITA. if you dont want to grind off part of the subframe, you need to take out axles, drop the subframe, take off the trans, take off clutch bolts, put on new clutch. use the alignment tool if it came with one. if it came with a new t/o bearing replace it. its in the transmission. find the right torque specs. replacing the clutch is easy, getting the trans on and off is the hard part. while its apart check the throwout bearing/slave and make sure its in good shape, or replace it if the clutch came with one.

oh yeah if u drop the subframe, dont forget to take off the 2 steering rack bolts. i forgot and well long story short took me 3-4 hours to fix it.

definatly have a friend or 2 help you with getting the trans on and off. if i would have had $400 I would have had a shop install the clutch. I really hate it lol.

Damn sounds like pulling the engine and trans is the best way to go.

if you cut a peice off of the subframe. where the peice connects to that and the rad support. the trans can drop out with no big problems.

If you are not replacing the flywheel, get the stock one resurfaced. Your warranty probably requires it anyway.
