Can someone clarify exactly what i need to swap? I have a parts car with a Getrag in it(2000 sunfire SE) and I want to swap the tranny into my 97 2.2. I have been told all you need to change is the mounts, and it'll be cake. Anyone know FOR SURE?

I have already searched, and everything I found told me different things, so I asked once and for all what needs to be done.
If you can't make a positive post, you might not want to bother. If you know an answer, then up with it. If not, then don't waste a post on it. The guy in the link had an NVG tranny in his car. My car has the isuzu. He had to swap out Getrag clutch and flywheel, '00+ Shifter box and shifter, '00+ Shift cables, and '00+ Clutch master cylinder. I'm asking do I have to swap out all of that too, or do I just reweld the mounts in and be done with it. If you would rather make 2 posts complaining, then one post with an answer, then find some other thread to jack.
you need it all...nvg, isuzu...whatever you need all the stuff as it is not tranferable..there..done for you..sheesh..phil
isn't the flywheel and the clutch in the 2.2 the same as the 2200?
flywheel I know for sure is the same.
I'm almost positive that the clutch is the same.
