I'm planning on doing a 3400 swap on my 1997 Sunfire 2.2. I currently have the isuzu tranny, but I have a complete parts car with the getrag tranny. I was wondering, since I very rarely use my car above 130km/h, could I use the Getrag final drive in the Isuzu tranny? The Isuzu tranny is geared a little bit steeper than the Getrag, but the Getrag has a little higher FDR. Using the getrag FDR in the isuzu would give me a little better acceleration for Auto-X.

DOHC Geo Storm has a 4.11FDR. You need the ring gear and output shaft.

What about having an Isuzu with a getrag Final Drive, is it possible? I have both trannies.

you cant mix the parts , 2 completely different transmissions

you can use a 2.4 isuzu for the final drive , or the geo as said above

im sure the 3.4 would like the 2.2 gearing better
