So I need a new clucth in my car and im planning on getting the Spec stage 1and maybe a lightweight flywheel. If anybody has any comments about the Spec stage 1 let me know cuz i dont want to get a piece of junk. I was also gonna get the lightweight option too. If I shouldnt get that one what should I get. I dont need anything ridicoulous just something that will give me better accleration and performance id also like to get a flywheel too but i really cant afford one right now. So does anybody know where I can get a good quality lightweight flywheel at a good price. Any help is much appreciated.
well my fidanza flywheel ripped in half for the second time today.
good stuff
dont waste your money on a stage one, go stage 2 or 2+ at least. SPEC lightweight flywheel is good, i have one and havent had problems so far.
i have spec stage 3 and lightweight flywheel btw, i like it. the clutch is a pain in the ass sometimes, but it takes abuse rather well.

Agreed get at least a stage 2. We have them at a very good price @ www.TurboTechRacing.com
If you order a SPEC clutch and a SPEC flywheel on the same order we can get you 10% off both items

alright that helps. any other suggestions for a good clucth for street/strip/race at a reasonable price like around 300 would be good. cheapest flywheel ive found so far is 320 its a fidanza from import performance parts

We will price match IPP on the flywheel FYI
I still think your best bet will be the SPEC stage 2 for the money.

for the money stage 2, but i would say 2+ would be a solid choice with the spec flywheel.

You cant go wrong with the spec clutch in a j-body I've had good luck with mine. there was a "bad" batch of aluminum flywheels from fidanza the shear off at the crank. I've had nothing but good luck wiht mine. people comment that the revs drop fast and its a pain to drive daily, but in all honestly they cant drive because you shift a little faster and you will have no issues at all. I would say go spec 2 + aluminum flywheel. if you plan on boost or possibly spray opt for the stage 3 while everything is apart.
i got my aluminum strait from fidanza after it broke the first time fidanza them self sent me a brand new one. Now its broke again.
