I have a 96 LD9 5spd. I have been trying to bleed my clutch. I fill it up, pump the clutch (which is on the floor already) a few times, start to feel a little pressure then on about the 4th pump limp again. I look and there is no more fluid in the resevoir. So i fill it back up and same thing. there is no fluid leaking ANYWHERE in any of the hoses. So could it be leaking inside the tranny somewhere on the slave cylinder?

This is a concentric slave application...meaning that the slave cylinder and bearing are one peice and that they reside within in the bellhousing. This being the case it is very possible that you are having an issue with the slave and not the master. If the fluid is disappearing...it has to be going somewhere...look under the car...is there a puddle? If so you need to replace the slave cylinder and while your at it you should go ahead and replace the Master too (might as well since it probably hasn't been replaced before). Keep in mind that a busted slave cylinder can often lead to a contaminated clutch disc. If this is the case the clutch disc should be replaced (in truth the whole assembly should be replaced). Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks!
