Symptoms of a warped flywheel?

What are some of the symptoms of a warped flywheel? I searched around here and couldn't get a straight answer. I believe this may be my issue, im getting alot of shaking between shifts, and when i got to take off as well.

I just installed my stage 3+ yesterday, and i had my flywheel resurfaced, could they have warped my flywheel? Seems like i get this shaking whenever the flywheel is coming back into contact with the flywheel. I have my flywheel bolts and pressure plate bolts torqued to spec.

Well after reading around the net, im almost certain one if not some of my engine/tranny mounts are shot, probably my upper engine mount. Ill check all of them tomorrow, in the mean time, does this bad engine/tranny mount sound like it could be causing this shaking/shuttering? I read that it can cause a rough idle, and the same shuttering feeling im describing. I do recall hearing a knock sometime as well. Any input?

Kyle...shutter (or chatter) when leaving from a dead stop is not uncommon until the clutch is fully broken-in. If you are having vibration occur when shifting through other gears (while in motion) it is possible that this is related to/compounded by a mount issue. Let me know what you find and we can go from there. Thanks!

While Spec happens to be listening in, a somewhat related question, If replacing the flywheel, and reusing the clutch (spec stage 3 with very low milage), what is the best break in procedure for this? I would agree with your statement above with the chatter on a fresh clutch....I just want to know the best way to break in a new flywheel.

Thanks in advance

Hey thanks Jeremy. I gotta tell you, it is so awesome to have you on this forum. Having someone like you from a large company such as spec, to back up the product with A+ customer support is fantastic.

And I'm at about the 250-300 mile mark in the break in process, and then shutter/chatter has been getting better. I used to get shutter shifting between gears, like anytime the clutch comes back into contact with the flywheel, but this issue seems to have gone away. So im not so worried anymore. I still have stock mounts, so im going to get prothane ones form TTR.

Anywho, thanks alot Jeremy.
