B&M short throw = no reverse lights???
Thursday, June 21, 2007 9:26 AM
Hey everyone.

I have had a B&M short throw in my car for some time now, but recently realized (for how long i have no idea) I have no reverse lights...

Has anyone else run into this problem? I am thinking it is with the reverse safety (the thing you pull up on)....If I remember correctly, it has the contact points for the reverse lights with that. Please correct me if I am wrong, or any other solutions you have.

And yes, I checked the fuse.....and the bulbs....

Thanks

The shifter has nothing to do with the lights. The switch for the lights is in the trans. If the lights aren't working it's either the bulbs or wiring, not the shifter.

I used to race cars, now I race myself.

Good to know, Im going to have to get a switch. Mine works once in awhile, I thought it had something to do with the shifter also because if I slowly eased it into position they would work.

I did mine on my isuzu. $8 O'Rielly's part, 7/8" (deep) socket, right under the intake tube
Get a Hayne's or Chilton manual for your car...

It's just so weired that I started having the issues right after the shifter was put in...

But I'll have to look into replacing that...
