Okay guys my clutch is going out and i was thinking about replacing it with a racing clutch and lightweight flywheel which ones should i buy? What are the benefits of switching to the racing clutch and the lightweight flywheel? I have intake and catback on the cav right now and i plan on going with the hahn stage 2 in a couple of years so what to do??

Well is it true that specs break easy? Do they come with a warranty? Will the stage 2 be a good option i want the car to still be very streetable.

"Racing" Clutch - Better friction material, higher clamping force, and less damping springs to minimize energy loss but at the expense of streetablity.
Lightweight Flywheel - Less rotating mass, allows quicker revs and less power lost from turning a stock flywheel.
If your going to turbo the car years down the road, i would just get a stock clutch or a Stage 1+ clutch. Then when you finally do slap a turbo on it then i would switch to stronger clutch.
Search for spec....GM J car's seem not to like them.

So you dont think a stage 2+ will last two years or more my stock one is almost six years old

whats luk?

Luk is a good clutch company, I believe the make factory clutches for Ford. I have used Luks in my old Grand Prix and didnt have a problem.
The life of a clutch depends on how you drive it. If your nice and easy on it, it can last for 80,000, 90,000, 100,000, or more miles. My 03' cavy has 57K on it and the clutch is just fine.
As for not going with a stage 2+ or stage 3+, i dont see the need for the extra clamping force when it isnt needed. For now i would just get the flywheel machined and get a Luk clutch. I picked up a Luk from autozone a few years ago for my 89' 5-speed Grand Prix for around $110.
what about the clutch masters?? what flywheel is better? fidanza or spec what are the gains from it

Stock clutch should do you just fine for now. Both my stock clutches were made by LUK. The ones I pulled out of the car and put back in (98 and 02).

I have had good luck with my clutch masters clutch. I do not know if they make one for the ecotec or not though.
Fidanza makes the lightweight flywheels. The Spec and RK sport ones are made by fidanza and relabled.
In my opinion if I were you I would stay with a stock flywheel as it is easier to daily drive on the street as well as you do not have to worry about it breaking. Also the stock clutches are really not that bad. Mine had 70,000 miles on it and was still holding just fine at more than 214whp. That is roughly what you will get with the hahn turbo kit. I would just keep it stock and not worry about fixing that is not broken.
