Alright i'm only a few days away from acquiring all the major components to do my swap..... Couple questions for you guys that has done it. Did you swap the dash harness and engine harness or did you rewire some of it to make it work? if so then how? Also for you guys thats done it any tips or comments are greatly appreciated.

I have a whole new dash harness and engine harness to make everything plug and play.

However, i have talked to a couple people who have left their interior wiring and just wired the clutch start saftey switch to the starter and called it a day. Its a purple and yellow wire if i recall correctly. I would check for you right now, but i am in my college library and will check my gm service manual when i get back to my dorm to double check.


But we'll see what happens when i put a 5 speed sunfire harness onto a cavalier 4 door bcm and body harness... Lol.

I've done the auto -> 5 speed and 5 speed -> auto swap... both times, used the proper harness for it. No half-ass anything for me
