I have a 2002 Cavalier with the factory automatic 4 spd transmission and the stock 2.2 non-ecotec engine. I am looking to swap to a 5 spd tranny man or auto doesn't matter to me. I'm thinking about swapping the engine to an ecotec engine also if that is feasible. Any suggestions?
There is no 5spd auto tranny that will mate with the 2.2....
If you are asking if an auto-manual swap is possible, sure is, hope you know how to weld. Also swapping in an eco is possible to, but really depends on YOUR skill, I could say its easy, but for you it might be a tragic nightmare.
