Are Limited Slip Differentials suppose to make a chattering sound when you shift or do i have some major tranny issues?

probably mounts is what I'd check first.

I just changed the fluid two days ago and put in an additive for the lsd and the noise went away for the most part. im just curious if anybody else has had any weird noise after installing a lsd

1st off what kind of LSD are you using??? A full replacement, Clutch type, or Spring insert?
You should not need an additive for the tranny for an insert.
They should NOT make a chattering sound....did you put your axles in right? Are they full of grease?
As far as i know it is a phantom grip, axles are all good. I got a rebuilt tranny from brandon fetter that had the lsd already installed in it. Im just stumped because its made the noise ever sine i put the tranny in. I also am running an aluminum flywheel and stage 3 clutch but i dont think that should make much of a difference.

And this noise only occurs while shifting between gears??
Maybe it DOES have some thing to do with that clutch/flywheel....
Is the clutch broken it yet? My stage 2 made a bunch of noise for about 300 miles then got much smoother.

It should all be broken in, its been in the car for about 70k. Im curious if it might be a bad input bearing or something, cause in neutral if i rev it it also makes the noise. Or if im cruising down the highway and let off of the gas it will make the noise also.
