I did a clutch swap and its been on stands the past couple of weeks while I worked on some other projects.Well I got the car up on it own 2 feet but now I have no reverse I pushed the car out for a test drive abd all the gears are fine but when I gotinto reverse the car goes forward almost like it slips back into fourth. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Does anyone think this could be related to the shifter cables?
Did you mark your placement on the shifter cables before you took them out?
Its possible the cables are off.
See I never took the cables off I just took the the yellow things on top the the levers off.
Thank you Shifted. I found my problem. The wount that holds the cables to the transmission wasn't sitting flush so the bottom retainer had slipped off the brass cup so I just reinstalled the bracket and wahla no binding and I have reverse now.
Thank you Cody for making me take a second look at the shifter cables.
