Questions about changing a clutch
Monday, January 05, 2009 12:37 PM
I'm looking to change the clutch and Flywheel for my 2001 Z24.

I noticed that the ACT GM1-HDR4 seems good, but noticed that the application's only for up to 99 models.

does that mean I can't use it?

Please help. Thanks!

well... if it says it will fit up to 99 models, then no, it will not work. not trying to be a smartass, but its common sense.
If this helps:
95-99 has the Isuzu transmission
00-up has the getrag tranny (better) basically, anything that will fit 00-02 should work for you.

If it's the same as the 2.2, all you gotta do is change the flywheel to the 95-99 flywheel and clutch will work. Not sure tho bought the 2.4, i don't have any experience with that motor.

It basically depands on what kind of driving you do, and what you use the car for...
