I'm doing a tranny flush in the next week and am considering using Motul.

my trans is goin to run this soon, i'm redoin some wiring then i will be draining the fluid and refilling it with royal purple

Bringing this back, Is the Royal Purple Synchromesh OK to use on 00+ Getrag F23 5 speed's?
I've been talking with Sweetness and although he's been helpful, he has an old NVG not an F23.

Royal Purple, My trans was slipping and i did a flush and used RP and a trans cooler and it never slipped after that
Thanks guys, i am for sure going to give Royal Purple a chance. If i'm not liking it too much i guess i'll change it up for the Saturn ATF.

FOr the newer getrags I recommend Hurst ATF synthic. It is Hurst Hot Shift. I have also used B&M Trick shift, but like the Hurst the best.

Trick shift is used by GM as a renamed Transfer case oil.... Autotrack-II.
that leads me to believe that Mobil makes Trick Shift..... as they make all of GM's other stuff.
Mobile-1 Owns all!.... but trick shift got rid of gear rattle for my old Z.

That was a misprint and should say Castrol.

Beleave what you want. Amsoil...... Failed every test in Briggs
Castrol.... has not been factory fill sence 92 for GM, but still a High Qualty oil.

Amsoil failed every test at Briggs & Stratton school for high heat\load testing. Harley was the same.
not very fond of it at all.
