I have recently blown my tranny in my 97 Z24 and have had a hard time finding a tranny. A friend has the 95 (i think) z24 with the 2.3L in it and was wondering if the tranny would bolt directly on to my car since his engine is shot and he is getting rid of the car? Really miss driving my car and would like to get it back on the road asap. Thanks for any help possible.
>:o
Not sure if it would have an HO motor in it. If it has two mounts then it should work. I know there are a couple trannys out there that are junk. If you can get a pic, or at the very least a VIN we can tell you more.

Sweet. thanks a lot guys. One step closer to getting my cavy back on the streets. lol.
I just did the swap backwards... I had to swap out the control unit on the top of it, but it just pulls off after the two bolts are taking out. Just pull it up with a flathead and you just swap them.
What do you mean you did it backwards? As in all the shift linkage and such, or the engine?? Sorry. probably a stupid question but just want to clarify. Still learning as I go. First real project car. My dad used to do most of my work.
