transmission again!!

So more problems with the chevrolet cavalier once again. I own a 98 5 speed cavalier, replaced the engine, than the transmission and clutch. Tranny was bought from a wrecker in decent shape, the clutch new. I don't think it has been a year yet that I have out of this car since the work, but the tranny seems to have gone bad again. It can hardly shift at all, won't go in second, and fourth seems to jump a little when gas is on and off. It is not driveable at this point. I have forgotten the proper name of what needs to be fixed if fixed at all. It requires rebuilding the whole tranny.....just wondering if anyone has any suggestions of the problem or if you have encountered it or not. Car is in great shape, but don't know if it is worth fixing but not worth scrapping either. Engine was replaced at about 160,000, transmission twice, new clutch, new alternator, battery, a.c. compressor, brakes, belts, the whole schebang lol.....your time would be appreciated. Thanks.

swap to an auto. you dont break a good trans in a year if you know how to drive it properly.

haha that is funny, nothing wrong with my driving at all. I believe the issue was the synchros...(spelling?) but thanks for the opinion.

It may have appeared good even though it was shot. I wont buy a used Isuzu because you never know how it is inside unless you open it up. I put a new one in my car so that I wouldnt have to worry about getting a bad one from a yard.

10% over cost put it at $2050. Yep, almost the value of teh car at the time.

I planned on owning the car for another 5-6 years so the investment was worth it.
