Ive got a 97 Z24 Ive read some good and bad things about this shiftplus kit so heres my questions

1) Is it a good idea for my tranny? Im not sure what the model number is its a 4 speed ( 1,2,3,D )

2) Does it really improve the life of the tranny?

3) What can I expect? A little snappier acceleration or somethin thats really gonna tthrow you back in your seat?

4) How many performance settings does it have and whats the difference between them?

5) Assuming its installed correctly what are the risks if any?

1. Going beyond the manufacturer settings isn't "good" but it doesn't necessarily hurt. It depends on the condition of your tranny, which is a 4T40E.
2. No, but it may help reduce the wear on your clutch packs.
3. Depends on what setting you put it on, anything from a slight snap to a harsh pound when it changes gears.
4. I think 4, the difference is the line pressure and harshness of the shift.
5. If your tranny is already in poor shape, this will make things break faster.
