Well I got it. The noise started about 5000 miles after the Fidanza FW broke. The tranny has a TG LSD insert, an oem FW and a spec stage 2 clutch.
I did replace the pass side bearing before researching. Was gonna try the 1/2 shaft next but pretty sure that's not it.
So it's the diff? Anybody help out here? Tranny's got 68xxx on her now. Is it time to replace the whole tranny? Or can I get a new diff? The case has to be opened because I would get another LSD insert.
One last thing. I did not "shim" the diff when I replaced the bellhousing (the FW incident). So could it just be slop that I can shim out? Thanks for reading.

If it is the noise that I am thinking of there is no "fix" for it. I have had the noise is several of my 0 mile Getrags.
The noise was not there at first. The only time it's really annoying is when the car is at a set speed and light throttle. Upon decel or accel it's quiet. Sounds like gear mesh slop. The tranny is strong otherwise. I do beat on my car pretty hard. I can drown out the sound when I turn up the radio, but that's not the best fix.

Sure was hoping to get some input. After searching here and elsewhere I have seen some pretty worn out/busted up diff carriers. Guess I can at least pull the 1/2 shaft to take a look. I just had the pass side off to do the bearing too. I do happen to have a used trans in my garage I may be able to swap out to see. But the tranny owner may not like that. What say Taesch? Wanted to clarify, this is NOT the "marbles in the can" noise. This is getting to be a PITA.
