okay i have a 97 cavalier 2.2 3 spd I had a transmission leak so i pulled the motor out where i could get to the leak and fix it i also changed the trans filter while it was out... well i put it back in and took out to drive it i drove it for around 30 to 45 mins and the check engine light came on its the manufacture control transmission. so I searched it and cant really find out what i need to do to fix that problem so any advise and help would be helpful thanks

take the actual code number, pop it in google, and find out what it really is. "manufacturer control transmission" is a generic definition written into cheap code scanners.

The only thing I can think of it being on that is something the TCC. That's the only thing that's electronic on the 3spd, everything else is hydraulics.

Unless for some reason the trans you put in has a different gear than the one you took out. I know there's a code in there that's supposed to mean "incorrect gear ratio", but i've never heard of anyone having that one come up.
