drove to class today and the car was fine. even used the gears like it was a manual for a few light. park at school and everything was fine. came back from class at like 715pm and i shift to reverse and the shifter just moves back and fourth without locking into any gears and now the car is stuck in reverse and i had to leave it on campus. i had a problem before but that time the car would shift into gears but wouldnt go anywhere. now it wont go into gears at all and is stuck in reverse. is the transmission done? need some advice quick. shes my baby and would hate to give her up because maintenance is gonna drill a hole in my pocket.

thanks man. my mechanic said the same thing about it being the cables. but i thought it was ok to use the gears like its a manual from time to time. well i know not to do it at all now. ill let you guys know an update in a few days.
