Whats the smart thing to do?

ok first and foremost i have a 1997 sunfire GT ---------- LD9+4T40E = 119,000 miles

i want firmer shifts i have noticed that it slips a little when its gets warm but no other problems

wondering what are my options to make it perform better properly

i am going to have it flushed soon but i am wondering if dropping synthetic ATF in it
will perform better and i was wondering if an actual shift kit exists that i can buy
the mechanical kind, not the electronic kind like the shift plus

thank you for your answers
yes i have searched, i want opinions based off of my situation particularly

I have heard good things about the B&M trick shift fluid. Never used it myself....

I have also heard to stay away from the B&M Shift+, Once again, Haven't used it tho..

Try B&M Synthetic Trick-Shift. The Original Trick-Shift isn't compatable with the 4T40E. Hurst makes/made? Shift Plus, but it is similar to the B7M Original Trick-Shift
