have a 97 cav 2.2 with 5speed. Sometime when I shift from 1 to 2 or 3 to 4 or go to reverse It will not go into gear. There is no grinding or anything. Is this shift cables, master or something else. Does maybe once or twice a day. Just enough to piss me off. Don't know much about manual trans.
check the trans oil, master cylinder fluid level, and then see if that makes a difference. if not, replcae the cables. they're only available from the dealer, about $120 for the set.
