Their any trick to doing this...i took my console off today cause my shifter should be here sometime this week and i was looking at the shifter cables,don't really want to snap the plastic pieces that connect to the linkage.
Rememeber kids... spell check is your friend
make sure you take a permanant marker and mark the metal part of the cables so that you can put them back in the same exact spot where they came off.
not too complicated. i took a flat screwdriver and pried the bottom of the plastic clips that is on the cables out a little bit. too much and you'll break them. that should help you just prop them up and you'll hear them snap.
x2 on marking your cables before you snap these off.
