I currently have a 1997 cavalier z24....2.4 Liter Issuzui Trans.....I wanna swap a getrag trans into this car correct me if Im wrong.......
1. Getrag trans will bolt rite up too the 2.4L (1997)?
2. Which Flywheel will I need too use?
3. I need too move the trans mounts. I knew this one!!
4. Getrag axles or can I use the Issuzui?
5. Shifter cables?

You need to get the getrag that came off the same engine you have now.
You need to swap linkage, clutch master cylinder and all that junk, reweld mounts.
I believe you can use the same flywheel and axles.

i would get these all new, with the exception of the shifter.

Thanks for the replys...Thats what I thopught it's just been so long since i studied it last. The reason Im switching too the getrag is because I cant find a Quaife for the issuzui....Anybody have a Quaife for the getrag thats willing too part with?

i would get these all new, with the exception of the shifter.
I would not get a used TOB for sure. Master, cables, shifter should all be fine used.
