OK THIS JUST HAPPENED THIS MORNING PULLING INTO MY WORKS PARKING LOT AND I NEED TO GET HOME TONIGHT.
MY CAR WAS RUNNING FINE AND I PULLED IN AND IT STARTED BUCKING, THEN I PULLED INTO A PARKING SPACE AND IT STALLED.
I PUT IT IN PARK AND STARTED IT UP AND IT RAN NORMALY, SHIFTED INTO REVERSE AND IT STALLED. I PUT IT IN NEUTRAL AND STARTED IT UP AND IT RAN NORMALY, SHIFTED INTO DRIVE AND IT STALLED!
ANY IDEAS?????
PLEASE HELP!!!!!
BY THE WAY ITS A 96 2.2 WITH THE 3 SP.
Could be the TCC solenoid or some other sensor.Check engine light on?I had a 86 celebrity that use to buck until I unplugged the solenoid.

Check engine light isnt on yet .....
how does it act when it stalls? Is it a rough clunk or a bogging type deal?
It is an instant rough clunk, car doesnt even move 2ft ..... happens every time
So I went out on lunch and dis-connected the TCC harness and it drives fine now.
How hard is the TCC to replace?
You have to drop the trans right?
Will there be any damage to the trans having the harness dis-connected?

Yeah sounds like what my car was doing when the lock up solenoid started going bad. How many miles are on your car? Might be better off just trying to find a lower mileage trans all together
