where can i get flywheel to engine bolts for an ecotec. in doing a tranny swap and the dealer said $11.50 aaaaaaaaaaaaa bolt ..... no F@***** way
can any one point me in the right direction or at lest happen to know the size and thread
any place that has Grade 8 bolts
JBO since July 30, 2001
i got all the info now
the bolts are m10x1.25x23.5
and there a grade 10
called a bunch of diffrent places and the best price i got was $7.87
Why don't you just get the ARP ones from the link I gave you? They are just over $5 per bolt and they are going to be better than any supply store bolt like Fastenal. Summit has the bolts for just over $40
here , or you can get them from McMaster Carr. 25 bolts for $7.41 plus shipping
here. Personally I would use the ARP bolts. Flywheel bolts are an item best to not skimp on. FYI, the 2 common classes of metric bolts are 8.8 and 10.9, with the 10.9 bolts being the higher strength bolts. I'm assuming that's what you mean by grade 10.

i know of atleast 3 other eco users that re used them. specifically jon, who was beating the hell out of it on the dyno at the bash...
red loctite, few extra lbs of tq with the wrench, if he and todd trust it, so do i. plus when i replaced my trans at 80K, re used my stock ones, and they were fine til the motor swap.
I have reused flywheel bolts many times on different J's never a issue.
