I was looking at buying a new shift knob but I've tried time and time again, looked around on how to do it, failed on all terms. i CAN NOT get the damn shift knob off. does anyone have a video, detailed instructions, or someone in the western slope of Colorado willing to come do it for me!!!

honestly, is there some kind of trick to it, because i pulled and twisted, and twisted and pulled, stood on the center console and pulled, and twisted, got in the back seat and pulled. and nothing worked

Why does everyone make threads saying that they have trouble with this?

When I went to install my short shifter, I couldn't get the shift knob off with my hands either....Tried for 10 seconds, and said "nope, not gonna happen"

Being a tradesman, I went to my kit, grabbed my channel locks, gave it a twist and pull, and it popped right off.
