so i was searching around lookin and i couldnt find my answer, so i have a 2.2L tranny is a 3 speed, im going to swap out for a 2.4L 4speed, and was wondering, what do i need to do this swap??? ive been searching and couldnt find anything, can someone make a list for me i know i need a Tranny and Engine, cluster? different shifty thing (dont no the name) so what else?
What tranny are you going to go with? Donlt have to swap clusters unless you want to.

first you say you want a 4-speed, then you say you want the isuzu? the isuzu is the MT that was used from 95-99.
anyway, the list you'll need is trans, shift linkage, shifter, cables, engine bay wiring harness, computer,and mounts for any trans swap. add pedal assembly and master cylinder if you're doing a manual swap.

first of all a 2.4L trans wont bolt up to the 2.2 so thats gonna be your first issue if you have a 3spd and you wanna go to a 4spd you will want to get a complete engine harness and 4spd trans out of a 98 2.2L j body changing the cluster is a good idea for what it takes to do might aswell do it
98 the 3spd was base and 4spd on the 2200 was an option

Someone in one of the other forums posted a link to a Fiero swap from a 3T40 to a 4T60 (not 4T60E). I am looking in to doing this swap on a 97 Sunfire once I finish building my engine. The advantage to this swap is that it doesn't require a computer change. The swap page is

you have a 98 get the 2200 4spd and get your PCM flashed for it probably have to change your shifter. i don't know for sure cause i don't look at autos they bore me
