i have a 97 cavalier z24 my tranny makes a humming noise while driving an i noticed small amounts of metal shavings on my dipstick i work in a junk yard were theres over 600 cars i was just wondering wat kinda cars have the getrag tranny in them since it would prob be easier to find than the izuzu tranny

you talking about the older "muncie" getrag or the newer getrag?

well i dont really know much bout either one i know that we have a older grand am wit a 2.3 5 speed in it notsure of the year we got 2001 grand am with a ecotec an 5 speed today i jacked my car up so both front wheels were off the ground put the car in first let the clutch out when its spinnin u cant stop the wheel on the passenger side an it kinda jerks like its tryin to move the driver side tire keeps spinnin if u just jack up the passenge side an put it in gear it will spin the passenger tire a few times then it james up an tries to spin the driver side tire idk wats goin on but i know its not good lol i drove it prob 10 km to work today to check it out
