03 eco trans in a 99 2.4

i was informed last night that the eco trans will fit the 2.4 F23 getrag i belive it is, not going to lie at all im almost 100% noob when it comes to transmission specs and what fits what but i'm not a noob at weilding/mounting or wiring

obvious the eco wiring wont work with the LD9 or at least im assuming the eco's is not a just a plug in play. if it is that would be superfantastic

to my question

what im getting at and maybe this might be in the wrong fourm but im sure im going to have to split the wiring from the eco harness to the LD9 wiring harness correct?

or is the eco wiring harness the same for the LD9

thanks sorry its a little confusing.

this might help as well, my car is auto 3speed doing the swap to a 5speed and engine swap thus the wiring question, the donor car im looking at is a 4speed auto.

Thanks!

The eco and 2.4L LD9 have different bell-housings. So you were misinformed. The 2.2L L61 and 2.4L LE5 ecotecs have the same bell-housings thou.

There's a 2000+ harness and a '95-'99 harness. In 2000 GM switched over to Tech 2 wiring, which doesn't work with the older setup. In order to use a '00+ LD9 or Eco you will need to get a '00+ harness.
